P90-X Day 2

Today's exercise routine was called Plyometrics.

EXERCISE
This will probably be one of my least favorites of all of the exercises. This type of routine is based on "leg" workouts. There are several types of jumps, squats, lunges, etc... My legs are pathetic and this routine let me know that very bluntly.

The routine lasts for about 1 hour (given the 10 minutes cardio warm-up exercises). I was only able to make it through about 30 minutes before running out of gas (quitting).

Boy did I sweat. "I'm talkin' swamp sweat. I'm talkin'... fill a whole bath tub... full of sweat!" JK (Will Ferrel quote from Semi-Pro - theme song).

FOOD
Today I had a wedding to photograph (since I'm a photographer), therefore didn't have much choice in when and what I ate. I either ate what they had to offer at the reception... or had NOTHING to eat (and I feel pretty bad when I don't eat). So, now that I've built up excuses for my obviously bad diet choices... here we go...

This morning I had Burger King. I ate 1 BK Veggie Burger, 1 Large Fry and 1 Large Sprite. I know, I know... some diet huh? But look at this way... I'm trying to transist smoothly so I don't hate this diet thing and quit. At least I got the "veggie" burger. It's a start. Then I ate nothing else till the reception of the wedding (that evening). At the reception I ate random portions of small pizza squares, grilled chicken with sauce strips, cocktail shrimp (with sauce), 1 mini ham biscuit and lots of water. After the wedding and our late trip back home, I stopped at McDonalds and ate 1 double cheeseburger and 1 large fry along with 1 large sprite. Forgive me... but I was working on my feet, all over the place.. ALL DAY and was hungry and exhausted (I worked up an appetite).

So there, I feel bad about my food choices... but hey. We start at the bottom and work our way up. I'll try to do better a little as I go.

Overall, I feel guilty for eating bad and sore from the leg workouts. Yeah, I'm pathetic. Hopefully things will eventually start to look up. My hamstrings are KILLING me!
