P90-X Day 1

Okay. So today was a LONG day! INSANE!

First off, here's my P90-X workout post:
Today was Chest & Back and then the "Ab Ripper." After doing several (between 100 and 200) pushups, my chest and arms (and even my lower abdomen) were feeling pretty weak. Toward the end, I had to strain to do 5 pushups (I mean lips blown out, teeth grit strain). My arms felt extremely weak, sort of like they were dead. I could try and pick up something but felt as if I could barely grip it. (These symptoms of course are probably due to the fact that I am extremely out of shape... apparently).

Let me be honest here. I didn't finish the workout routine. I never even made it to the Ab Ripper. I would have, but I had to go to work. But after the way I felt, I needed the relief. Even if I had no work to get to, I still probably would have ended the Chest & Back early and moved on to the Ab Ripper (I know, you're not supposed to do that... but give me a break, it was my first day). I needed this kind of transition (plus, I knew I'd be getting more exercise tonight with church from setting up and doing a show).

Now on to the food. Today when I went to work, my Dad goes to Bojangles. Not a whole lot of healthy options there. So, I got the buffalo bites (grilled chicken bites) with a cup of slaw and a water. A few hours later, I had a bowl of Captain Crunch cereal (not the healthiest, but I needed food... but on the bright side I used 1% milk). Finally, around 9:30pm-10:00pm I had a terrible headache from lack of food (while at church performing), and had no choice (as I saw it) but to go over to Sonic and get me a Crispy Chicken sandwich along with a Large Fry and Large Sprite. I was hungry and felt bad. I didn't care about "diet" at that point. It "only" took 15 minutes in the drive-thru. Crazy night.

However, the musical part of the night went very well. Many teens lined up across the room on their knees, communicating with God. It was all worth it.

Lastly, I got in more exercise from helping set up and take down the stage setup for our worship. Some probably think I exercised my mouth more than my body but I helped with loading some heavy stuff too (LOL).

I'll update tomorrow.
